The kindergarten year is one of the most important years in your child’s school career. Our program takes an active learning, Montessori-infused approach: We design meaningful educational experiences based on the Common Core State Standards, 21st Century Competencies and other goals. Using ongoing informal and formal assessments, we evaluate individual students’ progress, build on existing knowledge and skills and plan for future learning. Our integrated curriculum includes real-life situations to help students make connections between subject areas. Your child will learn to love education and take responsibility for his or her own learning.
There is no such thing as a typical kindergartner. We provide for that through individual lessons and child-directed work times. Our small class size, capped at 10 children, means your child receives individual attention and more in-depth instruction. ODN participates in the Step Up for Students and McKay Scholarship programs. Breakfast and lunch are provided at no additional cost to all kindergarten students. Before- and after-school programs, homework help and tutoring are available.
